About Frangipani
Eco-Lodge

An off-grid eco-lodge on Barbuda’s wild Atlantic coast, where solar-powered living meets raw coastal beauty and dark night skies.

Our Story

Frangipani Eco-Lodge began with a simple vision: to create a place where people could experience Barbuda as it truly is — wild, quiet, and deeply connected to nature.

Frangipani Barbuda is proudly female-owned by sisters Asha and Afiya, whose connection to this place began long before it became an eco-lodge.

As children, camping here was a cherished family tradition. Almost every Sunday, our mother and father would pack up for the beach, and we would spend the entire day together. We swam in the crystal-clear waters, caught fish and lobster, explored the shoreline, and returned home sun-kissed, tired, and happy.

Those memories shaped our love for Barbuda’s coastline and inspired our dream of sharing this special place with others. Frangipani Barbuda was created not just as somewhere to stay, but as somewhere to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the simple joys that made our childhood so unforgettable.

Not a resort. Not a rental. But a space rooted in sustainability, simplicity, and respect for the land.

Frangipani was designed for travelers who value solitude, authenticity, and meaningful connection to place.

Our Philosophy

We believe comfort and sustainability can coexist.

Frangipani Eco-Lodge is off-grid. Our solar-powered systems, rainwater and well water use, and low-impact footprint allow guests to experience Barbuda without excess or environmental strain.

This is not a luxury resort.
It is refined, intentional off-grid living.

Here, the rhythm is slower. The nights are darker. The stars are brighter.

Remote. Sustainable. Intentional.

Living Off-Grid

Being off the beaten path is part of the experience.

Our eco-lodge operates fully on solar power. Water is carefully managed. Energy use is mindful. We ask guests to embrace this slower, more conscious way of living.

In return, you’ll experience:

This is Barbuda in its rawest form.

Sustainability in Practice

Our commitment to eco-friendly living includes:

We built Frangipani to exist with the land, not against it.
